About the Artist

Mike Melone studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh as well as in Europe under the direction of the best artist and designers in Florence, Switzerland, Paris and London.

He has also studied with local Artist and Instructor James Sulkowski who teaches the Master’s Old style of Classical Realism painting.

I enjoy painting still-life & landscapes and work mostly in oils.

Mike is also the Creative Director and founder of Melone Advertising Group, a multidisciplinary advertising firm started in 1983 and based in Canonsburg. 

Melone Advertising has gained international award winning recognition for creating clear and thought provoking design solutions for clients from a wide range of sectors, from corporate and retail, to culinary, finance, tourism, technology, healthcare, real estate, energy and the adult beverage industry. 

He has had the opportunity to work with some of the best brands, nationally and internationally, including All-Clad Metalcrafters, Krups, Emeril, Rowenta, Community Bank, Washington County Tourism, The Roberto Clemente Family, Steelers, Penguins and Pirates, IndyCar Racing, Community Bank, and DICK’S Sporting Goods PONY World Series. 

Mike has worked with some of the greatest Chef's of the James Beard Foundation, such as Daniel Boulud, Emeril Lagasse, and world renowned Chef Thomas Keller of the French Laundry in Napa, the first and only American-born chef to hold multiple three-star ratings from the prestigious Michelin Guide.

His creativity can be seen everyday in ads, video and packaging from local and National publications like Inside Washington County and WHIRL to KDKA, Food and Wine, Williams Sonoma, Macys, QVC, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, InStyle, Bon-Appetite, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Vogue and MLB.
